What is Plantar Fasciitis?

Plantar fasciitis is a common medical condition that causes pain in the heel and the bottom of the foot. It occurs when the plantar fascia, a thick band of tissue that runs along the bottom of the foot and connects the heel bone to the toes, becomes inflamed or irritated. The plantar fascia plays a crucial role in supporting the arch of the foot and absorbing shock when you walk or run. The primary symptoms of plantar fasciitis include: Heel pain, pain that worsens with activity, and stiffness.

How is Plantar Fasciitis treated traditionally?

Common treatments options include: Rest, stretching exercises, orthotic devices, physical therapy, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and night splints. Most of these treatments may only temporarily mask the symptoms of plantar fasciitis. We aim to permanently alleviate them.

How we treat Plantar Fasciitis

We use a combination or ESWT (shock wave) and laser therapy, custom orthotics and rehab exercises to eliminate the debilitating symptoms of plantar fasciitis and prevent it from coming back by treating the condition at its source.
